The on going journey

We had a bit of a set back this week as the little boy was fighting a stomach bug. So we couldn't start the meal plan as expected but i have fully devised a meal plan day to day based on his nutritional needs for the strenuous work outs that he will need to start soon. I have gotten him trainin skate and we have been practicing steadiness and agility on the lawn as ice is hard to come by in the middle of the summer. Next steps will be getting him fully suited in hockey gear aswell as workout clothes for dryland training. In the coming weeks we will be traveling a little further to find ice to get him comfortable skating and im sure soon after we master that i can introduce the stick and puck handling practice and i see no problem with him picking it up in no time. the work outs, meal plan and skill development took a bit of a back seat this week but he is on the up and up with getting back into fighting shape so once he has made a full recovery i can fully implement the plan as n...

Opening our journey into discovering the first essentials for Callum on his hockey journey

Given that my son is only 2 and a half these first years are crucial in the development in turning him into a hockey player of professional stature. He has been given a full physical by the doctors and a clean bill of health and also the doctor has used a height prediction that he will be over six feet tall, which is right on track for being an effective hockey player. So with the genetics being taken care of i have now gone into research mode to find the best meal plans and skill development to aquire the best result for our end goal. Upon using the internet to find the best meal plans for professional hockey player it became clear to me that most of these plans were geared more towards full grown men. So i will have to obviously take the portions down to a appropriate size for my boy. Most of the meal plans that i found were geared very much the same way and are as follows: minimal junk food intake, high protein and carbohydrate intake pre and post game time, low fat intake pre and ...
